EGMASA is a government created company belonging to the Environmental Ministry of the Regional Andalusian Government, founded in 1989 and dedicated to engineering, works and services. [MARM] Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs

The Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs (MARM), DG Natural Environment Forest Policy, is responsible for (among others): (i) the basic coordination of the forest fighting activities, (ii) the support to the Autonomous Communities in fire suppression activities by means of its own fire suppression means, (iii)annual update of the forest fire statistics and reporting to JRC, (iv) training on forest fighting techniques.

[IM] National Institute of Meteorology

National Institute of Meteorology is in charge of providing meteorological risk index and weather prediction to support fire prevention and suppression; they also use remote sensed data to assess the dryness of vegetation.

Tutela Civium is a volunteer Civil Protection association with contacts in the whole region of Calabria and deeply involved in the forest fires fighting.
